Currently, Gay, as everyone fondly call her, is the Treasurer of PAGPAKABUHI and one of its pioneer volunteers working as one to promote mental health and wellbeing.

She graduated in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Divine Word College, Tagbilaran City (now Holy Name University).  She was able to practice accountancy and financing in private and government firms in Manila and in abroad for several years.

With her decision to go back to her hometown, Baclayon, she started a small retail business and became a licensed Regional Tour Guide.  The COVID pandemic made her explore the unfamiliar online teaching profession, being a part-time online English Tutor for Japanese students.

Having been blessed with a musical talent, she is also a member of 2 church choir groups in Baclayon Parish.  She is also involved in various Parish activities being a member of the Finance Council.
